In 2014, the MCE organised for Alter-Echanges, specialised in participatory and responsible tourism, a study visit in the regions of Attiki and Thessaly.
During 10 days a group of French students in Tourism could discover how tourism activities can contribute to a sustainable development, preserving the heritage and participating to the local economy.
After few days in Athens and in the Island of Aegina, they spent 5 fabulous days in the Kissavo (Thessaly) between mountain and sea. With our partner, Olympus Adventure and its manager Nikos Dagas, they met local stakeholders of culture and tourism, as well as young people from the area. They had opportunity to experiment eco-tourism and cultural tourism in the area.
